Woodge System Update 23.10

The Woodge System Update 23.10 introduces an updated "Issue Tracker" that replaces the old bug tracker, now expanded to manage both system issues and projects, with issues classifiable as system bugs, configuration issues, feature enhancements, new features, or projects. This update also enhances the issue management capabilities with advanced search filters, editable fields directly from the list view, and the ability to assign and size issues for better task tracking and responsibility assignment.

New Issue Tracker Functionality

The bug tracker and been updated and renamed to "Issue Tracker". This functionality can be used to manage projects as will as system issues.

Each 'Issue' in the system can now classified by type. Once a new issue has been investigated it will be classified (by Woodge) as on of the following:

System Bug: Something does not work correctly in the system which is caused by a bug or unintended behavior.

Configuration Issue: The system does not behave the way a client requires due to a configuration issue, not a bug. The setting or configuration can be changed in the target system without requiring a system update.

Feature Enhancement: A request to modify or enhance an existing feature in the system.

New Feature: A request to add new functionality to the system.

Project: A project can be used to manage a group of task or activity within the system that is not necessarily a bug or feature.

The issue list now has advanced searching and filtering., This allows multiple criteria to be select to refine the displayed list off issues.

Changes can be made from the list view to the following fields: Priority, Status, Resolution & Type.

All changes made to an issue are records in this history.

Issues can now be assigned to an individual. This makes it clear who is responsible for managing the issue. Issues can also be sized small, medium or large to give an indication of the amount of work required.

Tasks can now be created against an issue and be assigned to an individual. A summary is shown showing the total count and number of tasks that are complete are shown.

The functionality of the task is the same as the existing order tasks. A due time and date can be set, a description and file attachment can be added.

These tasks will also show on the users Dashboard.
