Woodge System Update 25.02
The Woodge System Update 25.02 improves the 3D Visualiser with SVG extrusions for detailed models and interactive part controls. Adding multiple components is now faster with bulk selection and automatic dimensions. Manufacture Views have better grouping, sorting, and a new list view. Archived Processes are hidden from selection menus for a cleaner interface. The Issue Tracker separates active and completed issues, and Billing Documents now allow inline editing of generated line items for easier adjustments.
3d Visualiser Improvements
The product visualiser now supports the use of SVG shapes for custom extrusions. This allows a component of variable length to show routed grooves, profiles, or other non-standard shapes.
This enables more detailed parametric 3D models to be created.
Custom materials can be applied per component to produce a high-quality interactive 3D model.
Per-part controls can now be added to allow real-time interaction with the product.
Controls can be added for transforming or rotating the part. The axis, max, minimum, and default can be specified.
Now Quicker to Add Multiple Components to a Part
It’s now even easier to add multiple components in one go to manufacture. Simply click the ‘Add Component’ button in the part you want to add to.
It’s easy to find and select as many components as you need.
The default dimensions or dimension calculation for each component will be pulled through from the catalogue. These can be changed if required.
Click ‘Add Components’ and all the components will be added in a single step.
When component quantities are based on part dimensions, they now correctly update if the part dimension calculation is directly modified.
Manufacture View Group Improvements
The way that Manufacture Views can be included in multiple groups has been improved. From the Manufacture View detail layout, you can easily add, modify, or remove which groups the View is part of.
When a Manufacture View is included in multiple groups, it will now appear in the Manufacture View Launcher for each group. The groups and views are sorted by their sort order rather than alphabetically, adding more flexibility for arranging reports by usage.
A new list view has been created. This layout makes it easy to view and search for Manufacture View Groups.
Archived Processed
When a Process is set to be Archived, it will no longer appear in the drop-down options in the system.
This removes unnecessary items from the available options, making selections easier.
A process can be set as ‘Archived’ from the process detail layout, where the field appears in the Process Options section.
Issue Tracker Improvements
The Issue Tracker in the Admin area now separates ‘Active Issues’ from ‘All Issues’. Once an issue has been closed, it will no longer show in the Active Issues list, making it easier to manage current projects and issues.
In the top right, there is a new tab called ‘All Issues’, which can be used to refer to older, now-complete issues.
Billing Document Improvements
Billing Documents allow a number of additional line item records to be created. This can be used to automate the inclusion of certain calculated descriptions for things like deposit payments.
When a particular billing document is created, these new line items will be generated.
These Billing Lines can now be quickly accessed from the right-hand panel of the Billing Document Card window.
The generated text can be modified by clicking it, which opens a popover to change the default value. Text formatting can also be applied.
Under the Hood Performance Updates
This release also brings behind-the-scenes enhancements, removing a significant amount of legacy code and consolidating how data is stored. As a result the overall system performance is improvement.
